Zach Bearden has a diverse background in real estate entitlement, design, development, and construction. He began his career with Seamon Whiteside, a planning and civil engineering firm with offices in Charleston and Greenville, SC. During his time at SW+A, Mr. Bearden served as Director of Client Services and focused on zoning entitlements, due diligence, and site development for commercial and residential projects.

After leaving SW+A, Mr. Bearden joined a regional construction company as Director of Business Development, where he also assisted with preconstruction efforts. He is one of three founding members of Origin Development Partners and continues to focus on the firm’s design, entitlement, and construction efforts.

Anthony Kassis began his career at Bank of America in 1999 in the Corporate Finance Group. He later joined SunTrust Bank as a credit officer in the Real Estate Finance division, covering the South Carolina coastal markets, where he was directly involved in structuring large credit facilities for developers and landlords.

In 2014, Tony was a founding partner of Origin Development Partners, which specialized in acquiring and developing large commercial and multifamily projects. Origin acquired several downtown Charleston assets in 2015, including office and retail buildings. Since 2017, the firm has focused on a major mixed-use waterfront redevelopment on the Eastside of Charleston with multifamily, office, and hotel assets. Anthony leads the firm’s financing and capital-raising efforts as it grows its investment platform.

Gary Shahid began his real estate career over 40 years ago when he took over his father's real estate business in Charleston, South Carolina. He quickly expanded into Northern Virginia and Washington, DC, where he was involved in over 500 condominium conversions. More than 20 years ago, his business expanded to include commercial development. He has developed and entitled over 42 properties and more than 1,200,000 square feet of retail, office, and industrial space across the Southeast, from Washington, DC to Miami, Florida.

Garry Rodgers has 25 years of experience as a developer. He has worked with numerous municipalities on projects that add measurable value to neighborhoods, balancing aesthetics, desirability, and collaboration with the economics that bring projects to life. A lifelong East Tennessee resident, Garry has helped raise over $100 million with investments across 22 markets throughout the U.S. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and a past board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region, Habitat for Humanity, and Pinnacle Financial Partners.

Terri Thomas is a Certified Public Accountant in both Georgia and South Carolina, with over 30 years of experience, 20 of them specific to the real estate industry. She began her career as an auditor in the private and public sectors, performing operational and financial audits as well as advisory services in best practices and internal control procedures. Her public-sector experience included reviewing SEC filings and performing due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.

After her time as an auditor, Terri worked for both large and small real estate investment and development firms, where she managed financial reporting and investor relations for more than $3.0 billion in multifamily real estate portfolios (including five REITs) and a $6 billion international real estate hedge fund. Her real estate experience also includes consulting on deal structures and capital transactions.

After earning his Master of Real Estate Development and undergraduate degree at Clemson University, Logan worked on mixed-use development projects and entitlements in the Charleston region before joining Origin. His experience spans site selection and acquisition, underwriting, and zoning and entitlement work, along with a background in commercial construction that informs how projects are planned and delivered.
